West Brom vs. Chelsea: Date, Time, Live Stream, TV Info and Preview

Chelsea will travel to The Hawthorns for a Tuesday Premier League showdown with struggling West Brom. 

Jose Mourinho and company will be making this trip knowing they are in full control of the league. 

In Week 25, Chelsea easily handled Newcastle United 3-0. Combine that with Arsenal getting drubbed by Liverpool, 5-1, and Manchester City couldn't snag more than a point against Norwich City. 

All of that gives Chelsea a one-point lead over Arsenal and a two-point lead over Manchester City as Matchday 25 comes to a close.

Things are not going quite as well for West Brom. Pepe Mel's squad is currently in the relegation zone and their last time on the pitch they fell 3-1 to 14th-place Crystal Palace. 

That result had to be severely disappointing for West Brom, as the club had been showing improved form. 

West Brom haven't won a league match since Jan. 1. Since then, however, they have two draws and those came against quality clubs Everton and Liverpool. 

West Brom will be happy if they can coax a point out of this one.

Arsenal have ruled the top of the Premier League table this season. As the Gunners have slowed down a bit as the season has progressed, other teams have stolen the top spot from the Gunners, but they haven't been able to hold onto it. 

Liverpool had a one-week stay atop the table and then Manchester City were just evicted from the top spot when Chelsea beat the Citizens. Arsenal took back the spot from Manchester City, only to now lose it to Chelsea. 

Now it is the Blues' turn to try and hold onto the top spot. At least on the outside, Mourinho is not overly confident about his team's chances: 

The Blues shouldn't have much of a problem with West Brom. As we've seen, however, West Brom have shown they can earn at least a point against top teams. 

That would appear to be the kind of effort that Mel expects: 

Chelsea will need to come out focused on the task at hand. 

Prediction: West Brom 0-2 Chelsea 

Chelsea have been displaying the kind of rugged consistency it takes to hold onto the top spot in the table. Although the Blues' offense is a streaky animal, this team is always difficult to score against.
