After all Minnesota might sign a legend, if pursuing Brett Favre.

Reportedly, Favre underwent arthroscopic surgery to repair his injured shoulder recently, which indicates he might consider playing for bitter rivals Minnesota Vikings, who expressed interest last month, when sources told ESPN that he was expected to meet with head coach Brad Childress.

Favre will return for his 19th season, if he does decide to un-retired, and attempt to avenge a horrific season last year as the New York Jets quarterback.

This week, Childress has assessed a timeline for Favre to promptly make a decision if he will play quarterback for the upcoming season, according to sources. The 39-year old veteran hasn’t acknowledged his return for next season and now would be a good time.

The Vikings have four organized team activity sessions this week, and before Favre signs a contract, the team is inspiring him to throw. As time dwindles, Favre will take time to deliberate, weighing options in the near future.
