Steve Nash Sculpts a Mustache out of Survivor Beard for Return to Lakers
Steve Nash has gone through quite a few looks over his career.
We all remember the long locks that graced the point guard's cranium through the middle portion of his run with the Phoenix Suns. Then he cut it down a bit, and it wasย a little awkward. By the time he joined the Los Angeles Lakers two summers ago, the matured maestroย hit usย with a littleย Don Draper action.ย
But when we got our first look at the almost-40-year-old this past week, after a few months away from the hardwood, we couldn't help but wonder if Nash had been rehabbing his injury, or was held captive on an island with no food, water, electricity or even WiFi.ย

Nash's gray-faced look was jarring. Some would say a little depressing. But not as deflating as his comments, when asked about how long the scruff would be sticking around. "I forgot I had it," he said (viaย ESPN LA's Dave McMenamin).
Thankfully, it seems like the man who's made a career of lifting his teammates up, has found a way to pick up our spirits, too. Gone is the middle-aged disguise, and upon us now for Nash's Tuesday return to the lineup is perhaps the greatest era of Nash fashionโNashion!โthat we've seen to date.
At last, the Nash 'stache.
There's no telling who or what triggered this latest move.ย Clooney?ย Pitt? Evenย Heisenberg? We'll never know for sure.ย
"Hoping I don't make a fool of myself out there tonight," he even said in his Instagram caption.
As if Steve Nash could ever come close.ย
