Comeback Player Of The Year, Tiger Woods, Wins The Memorial
Tiger Woods came from four strokes behind to win his second tournament of the season at Muirfield Village.
He now has two victories to match Geoff Ogilvy, and Phil Mickelson, and should be considered for PGA player of the year, once again.
Also to be considered would be comeback player of the year, recovering from surgery, and now looking to win another major, and edge closer to Jack Nicklaus, as most majors wins ever.
The US Open is getting all the more interesting at this point.
None of this is a surprise to this reporter, however. Tiger Woods , now, and in the future, will be the greatest golfer who ever played.
Next week, the tour travels to Memphis, Tennessee and the TPC at Southwind, for the Stanford Saint Jude Championship.
This week i will take Phil Mickelson as my A player in his tune up for the US Open later this month. His back up, on the bench will be Sergio Garcia.
My B players in Yahoo Fantasy will be Tim Clarke, and Brian Gay, with Boo Weekley, and Woody Austin as their back ups.
My C player will be Henrik Stenson. His back up will be Retief Goosen.
Last week, using Tiger Woods as my A player, once again, moved me up in my fantasy standings. I currently reside in the 87th percentile with 3002 points, and ranked at place number 22,761.
For the spring I am ahead of two of the four Yahoo experts.
For eighteen holes, Thompson's caddy had been cackling and snickering after every shot that the golfer took. Fed up with the not-so-subtle criticism, Thompson finally threw his putter at the caddy and snapped, " You must be the worst caddy in the world."
The caddy grinned. "That, sir, would be too great a coincidence."
Have a great week and make some putts. Thomas[ NFL Mikee] Moreland
