Manchester United Fan Starts Petition to Demand Club Sells Tom Cleverley

Manchester United are still struggling to gel, and after yesterday's 2-1 defeat away at Stoke City the questions over David Moyes and his team persist. But one fan has gone a little further and started an online petition to oust Tom Cleverley from midfield.

The fan wants 1,000 signatures to his petition, calling for Cleverley's sale.

His reasons are explained here:

He is a waste of space, has no talent , has no role. He contributes nothing to the team and has no skills whatsoever anytime. He has no passing skills, can't control the ball, zero creativity, can't tackle, can't score a goal even when shooting from a distance of 5 feet in the net and misses it by miles!

"

At the time of writing, the petition had 161 signatures, although quite what 1,000 signatures will achieve when 75 times that number are paying up to watch the team—Cleverley included—at Old Trafford every week is anybody's guess.

Cleverley has been a target for criticism as part of United's underwhelming midfield, but he has still been a regular this term and has made 13 appearances for England.
