Tim Sherwood Rules out Late Moves After Nani Linked with Tottenham

Tottenham are lining up a surprise move for Manchester United winger Nani, reports Nick Lustig of the Daily Star.

The article also claims that Spurs would face competition from Juventus, Inter Milan and Roma for the player.

However, Tottenham head coach Tim Sherwood claimed at a lunchtime press conference on Friday that there would be "zero chance" of new players arriving on deadline day, as Sky Sports reporter Jamie Weir reported.

Inter Enter Race for Nani

The Daily Mail Online's David Kent suggests Nani could find a new home at Inter Milan.

The addition of Juan Mata has increased competition for midfield places at Manchester United, and the 27-year-old is one of the players on the periphery.

Nani is currently nursing a hamstring injury, but Kent says this has not deterred Inter, a team eyeing a loan bid. 

Sporting in the Hunt for Nani

Sporting Lisbon are interested in bringing Nani back to the club.

Despite signing a new deal last year, Nani has struggled to hold down a regular starting berth at Old Trafford, and Sporting are open to handing him regular playing time.
