Iker Casillas Transfer News and Rumors Tracker: Week of January 13

Tre' AtkinsonJan 14, 2014

With the January transfer window in full swing, there is still some concern regarding the future of Real Madrid's Iker Casillas

The World Cup winner is still battling Diego Lopez for the starting spot, but it doesn't look like the Spain No. 1 will be named the club's first-choice keeper any time soon.

While it is likely Casillas will remain at Real Madrid, several clubs would line up for his services were he to choose to leave.

This tracker will serve as your daily source for all transfer news regarding Iker Casillas, so be sure to check back regularly to see what is going on with the Real Madrid captain.

Ancelotti Believes Casillas Will Retire at Real Madrid

1 of 1

Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti believes Iker Casillas will finish his career at the Santiago Bernabeu.

According to Marca, Ancelotti had the following to say:

"This team has some very important players that represent this club. For this reason we will do our all so that Casillas finishes his career at Real."

It appears as though Ancelotti has no intention of losing Casillas.

He may need to rethink his selection choices at some point, but it doesn't look like the Real Madrid captain is going anywhere for now.
