Overrated College Football Coaches List Fails to Impress

First off, let me state that this list is in no way form or fashion my opinion.  It is strictly the opinion of the Heisman Pundit Web site.

With all due respect, this was the first time I had heard of this Web site. I was guided to it by a local radio station in Lincoln, Neb., due to some controversial choices.

Here is their official list of most overrated college football coaches: 

10.  Mike Stoops—Arizona

9.    Dennis Erickson—Arizona State

8.    Bobby Bowden—Florida State

7.    Jeff Tedford—California

6.    Mark Richt—Georgia

5.    Lane Kiffin—Tennessee

4.    Joe Paterno—Penn State

3.    Les Miles—LSU

2.    Jim Tressel—Ohio State

1.    Steve Spurrier—South Carolina

Personally, it is tough to agree with any of these selections. Three or four of these guys are sure-fire future Hall of Fame coaches, while a couple of these guys are still unproven.

They also have a list of the most underrated coaches. 

This seems like a feeble, Skip Bayless-like attempt at creating some controversy.

In the end, I'll probably visit this site now and again to get a good laugh or two, and see what outrageous article or claim they make in the future. It's merely human nature to stop and watch a train wreck in process.

It won't be tough to pick this list apart. Fire away. Then again, maybe you might want to leave some comments on their Web site regarding this example of "shock journalism" at its worst.
