Who Is To Blame For The San Francisco 49ers' Desire To Move?

The San Francisco 49ers are moving.  Period.  Now, where their new home will be is in question.  In 2014, are they going to be playing in San Francisco or Santa Clara?

How long has the 49ers been trying to get a new stadium?  Ten or 15 years?  Every time it has gone to the ballot, it has been shot down.  This is not the mayor shooting it down, nor is it city council.  It is the citizens of San Francisco that has denied the 49ers a new home in San Francisco!

If you think Candlestick Park is enough to keep your team content, think again!  It’s a 68-year-old stadium on the verge of collapse!  It has been renovated, upgraded, and given a new name, you say.  There is only so much improvements one thing can take before nothing anyone can do to save that thing.  Why do you think the Giants left?

People of San Francisco, this is your doing!  Is this how you treat your beloved five-time Super Bowl champion team?  Letting them play in a run down, half dead, ruin of a stadium, because you don’t want to pay for a new one?  Where is your love?

Hypocrites!  With the threat of them moving are people in an uproar!  Saying, “You can’t move!  We love you!  We come to see you play, even though you suck!”

Do you realize what you, San Francisco, have done?  You have forced the 49ers, your beloved team, to find a new home.  You think they wanted this to happen? NO! They didn’t want this at all!  You won’t give them a new field, they will find a city who will and they did.

You, San Francisco, are the only people to blame.  You don’t want them in your city.  Remember, you denied them funding for a new home.  You denied them the land for a new home.  You made your bed, lie in it!

There is still a chance for redemption, but time is slipping away.  If the citizens of Santa Clara do what you didn’t, you will not be able to blame anyone but yourselves!
