Ryan Mathews: Recapping Mathews's Week 17 Fantasy Performance

Bleacher Report AdministratorSenior Analyst IIJanuary 9, 2014

Mathews rushed for 144 yards on 24 carries and caught two passes on three targets for 11 yards in Sunday's 27-24 overtime win over Kansas City. The win sends San Diego to the playoffs and a matchup with Cincinnati.
Mathews was facing a Chiefs defense that rested several of its starters, but it was one of his finest performances of the season, nonetheless. He has been on a tear of late, racking up four straight 100-yard performances to end the season. Fantasy owners could do much worse than to draft Mathews as a low-end RB1 or top RB2 next season.
