Fan Gets John Obi Mikel Tattoo on Bum After Chelsea Man's Goal at Derby County
Why do people get a tattoo? Youthful rebellion? To remember something deeply personal and significant? Because John Obi Mikel scored for Chelsea at Derby?
It can be the last of those three options, as one fan proved when the midfielder led the Blues to victory in the FA Cup third round at the weekend.
It all started as Lee Mitchell made what looked like an idle threat on Twitter:
"If Mikel scores today I'll get his name or the Chelsea badge tattooed on my ass
— Lee Mitchell (@Lee_Mitchell11) January 5, 2014"
Mikel has been at Chelsea since 2006 and only scored his first Premier League goal for the club earlier in the season. The game marked his 300th appearance. It looked safe enough.
And then Mikel broke the deadlock in the second half as Chelsea ground out a two-goal victory on the road.
Mitchell could have sheepishly removed the tweet, but he was true to his word, and within a day of the match he had found a tattoo parlour to get himself inked, and put the pictures on Twitter:
"Job done #CFC pic.twitter.com/BHhxYag2mh

So, what was the moral of all this? We'll leave the final word to Mitchell himself:
"Hahahahahaha never tweet stupid stuff pic.twitter.com/CnzbYMdY7l
