On a warm, cloudy day in Winterberg, Germany, Great Britain's Elizabeth Yarnold continued her dominance of the 2013-14 women's skeleton World Cup with her third win in five races to date.

Yarnold captured the gold medal with a lead of more than half a second over second-place Noelle Pikus-Pace of the USA. The two top sliders this season were tied after the first heat, but Yarnold destroyed the field on her second run, sliding to an easy win.

Canada's Sarah Reid took the bronze.

The win puts Yarnold comfortably in top spot atop the women's rankings with three World Cup races to go before the Sochi Olympics in February.
