Witness...Another Failure
Once again, I am witness to failure from a Cleveland sports team.
This one, however, is the most disgusting.
Here's why: LeBron James is this "bigger than life" Jesus equivalent to most people in this city (not me). After the epic loss to Orlando, people here are giving him a free pass because he is the "King" and we are so starved for a championship.
I am probably the only person in Cleveland who has seen right through his facade since day one and has puked every time I hear him being mentioned as "The King" when he hasn't done jack to support the over-hype.
Being a former ball player, I see serious flaws in his game.
Talented as hell? Yes.
Best thing since sliced bread? No!
People say he is a great player or the best the game has ever seen. If that true why did he quit in game 6 against Orlando?
I grew up watching Magic, Bird, Zeke, Hakeem, Miller, and Jordan, and never had to witness them go 8-for-20 in a playoff game that could have sent them back to their own house for a Game 7.
Delonte West was the only one who continued to play as if he was going back home.
Why not the King? The guy is a "stat-hog," "volume scorer," and doesn't have the heart to win a Chip.
Ever notice how he looks up at the scoreboard during games? He's checking his stats.
The only thing the national and local sports media would talk about after the Orlando loss was how he needs help. The Cavs leads of 20, 23, 18, and 15 points in this series. How did they get out to those leads if he didn't have help?
More importantly, how does not having any help explain giving up 100+ point defensively when you're number one in the league in just about every defensive category there is?
Mike Brown made no adjustments, and LeBron flat out quit.
