Vince Young Is Dumb (cont'd)

JoeSportsFanJun 2, 2009

On April 20 in the Tennessean newspaper, Vince Young acknowledged his stance as the Titans backup quarterback.

“I am going to smile and shut up and continue being Vince Young, a happy smiling guy. I am not going to get into the hoopla any more because of the fact I can’t win anymore.”

Then yesterday, Young spoke on a Baltimore radio station and said the following,

“I definitely want to get back out there playing ball and picking up where I left off, winning games and having a good time with my teammates and with the fans. At the same time, if them guys don’t want me to be in there, it’s time for me to make a career change for myself. Because the fact is I’m ready to play ball. If they’re not ready for me to play ball, then somebody is.”

Gotta love Young’s universal language. I mean, he just wants to play ball and have fun with the fans and his teammates. What a great young chap! Sure his passing statistics have sucked since being drafted and sure he had emotional problems for his team when a few things went sour — and sure, Young went awol for a 24-hour period leading his fans and teammates to suspect something terrible had happened to him … minor details because V.Y. is focused on the path to success …

“I’m still focused, staying focused. I got a lot of people that look up to me. I got a lot of fans that love me and want to see me back out on the football field.”

Yes, yes, yes. Young is staying focused. In fact, last week he was focused on making it rain at a Nelly concert not unlike a certain Pacman years ago. Keep that focus, Vincent.
