Ronda Rousey and Miesha Tate Hotel Rooms Booked Next to Each Other at MGM Grand

No, that headline is not a pitch for a sitcom that would probably end up with a prime time slot on Fox Sports 1. Ronda Rousey and Miesha Tate, I kid you not, were neighbors at the MGM Grand Hotel.

Dana White discussed the wacky mishap on Fox Sports Live last night (per MMAMania):

Anybody else on this card, it wouldn't make a difference if their rooms were next to each other. We had to screw up and put their rooms next to each other. It's true. Miesha is like "are you serious? I'm walking outside the hotel, and these guys are mad dogging me already." So we switched rooms and put Miesha in another wing of the hotel.

For those who have been living under a rock, Rousey and Tate have the ugliest rivalry in MMA today.

The feud dates back to 2012, when the two had a bitter war of words during the build-up to their first fight in the now-defunct California promotion Strikeforce that spilled into the weigh-ins. It all culminated with Rousey snapping Tate's arm in the cage, taking her belt and rocketing herself up toward MMA superstardom. The rivalry was reignited when Tate filled in as an injury replacement for Cat Zingano (who had to sit out the rest of 2013 due to a knee injury suffered in training), which set up for a six-week stint as rival coaches on The Ultimate Fighter. Tate and Rousey wasted no time in picking right back up where they left off and butted heads from start to finish.

The two fight tonight in a women's bantamweight title fight in the co-main event of UFC 168. The event is headlined by another massive rematch in Chris Weidman vs. Anderson Silva 2 for the UFC middleweight championship.
