Emmanuel Adebayor was a goner under Andre Villas-Boas, but Tim Sherwood has brought him back into contention.

Following his two-goal display against Southampton this past weekend, there's a genuine chance that Adebayor could stick around, and that takes a previous "certain" winter transfer off the table for the Togolese hitman.

Spurs left-back Danny Rose has admitted to the London Evening Standard that Adebayor gives the team a different dimension to that of Jermain Defoe and Roberto Soldado, and should Sherwood (or his replacement) take to the target man approach, Adebayor may well become a key player once more.
