Is the Carlos Tevez Saga Just Another Kaka Saga?

Perm VacationJun 1, 2009

It is globally known that the Kaka saga was nothing more than a publicity stunt on AC Milan's behalf as they had no intention of selling Kaka to anyone, be it a political stunt at the expense of a genuine possible buyer in the form of the richest football club in the world, please stand up the real Manchester club, Manchester City FC.

Lets just say the best striker at United is without any doubt Carlos Tevez, so why have they not wrapped up his signature in a big red corporate bow ribbon? I smell a stinking rotten fish coming from the Old Swamp!

Some newspapers are suggesting a meeting between United’s chief executive David Gill and Tevez’s owner Kia Joorabchian will take place later this week, both two parties will be hopeful a deal can be struck.

Why has it not been struck already? Have United been struggling to find a bank willing to loan them the money after they crashed out of the Champions League final with a hugely embarrassing performance?

Joorabchian has told interested parties Liverpool and Manchester City that negotiations will be put on hold until June 10th, by which time Tevez will have completed Argentina’s World Cup qualifiers and Manchester United will have had their chance to sign him.

Well at least that's only a few days away, one thing I cannot stand is waiting around to see if my gut instinct actually got it right for, well I've lost count.

Other newspapers are claiming Tevez's main man Kia Joorabchian is interested in the City option because of the big money on offer at Eastlands—and the chance to prove Sir Alex Ferguson and United wrong.

Carlos Tevez's agents want him to sign for Manchester City—to spite Manchester United.

The Argentine striker's advisers are free to negotiate his next move, with the £30million fee to be paid to his owners rather than a club. And they are keen on a switch between the local rivals.

Could this be just another publicity stunt to promote a club which is in dire need of positive vibes, or could Tevez really want to join the real Manchester club?

That we will have to wait and see.

Could this be true? if so then this would be great news for City and Manchester City fans but as usual we City fans will not even blink an eyelid until it is officially confirmed via our official club website.
