Brian Westbrook: Inquiring Minds Want to Know...

For some, Brian Westbrook is recognized as the heart and soul of the Philadelphia Eagles Football Team; the mere sight of the running back darting down the sideline produces goosebumps for all onlookers.

 He is respected by sports fans and feared by opposing teams for his ability to take over a game with his speed, elusiveness, and receiving ability and has been honored by his peers, being selected for both the Pro Bowl and the All-Pro teams during his career.

While Westbrook's athleticism and talent is never doubted, his durability has been questioned. Westbrook is coming off of a disappointing 2008, in which he was oft-injured and ran for only 916 yards; this was compounded by an ineffective playoff performance.

The Eagles, having had roster turnover during the offseason and with a lot of youth, have high expectations this year, and no player is as key to surpassing these than Brian Westbrook.

In fact, if I had the opportunnity to sequester him for a few minutes, here is what I would ask him.

MG: What is the most enjoyable aspect of being a running back?

MG: What was the rehab(not that one) process like?

BW:

MG: Why did you start playing football?

BW:

MG: What are your favorite today and what were your favorite sports teams as a youth?
