Full Preview for WWE Main Event Featuring Dolph Ziggler and Curtis Axel
Welcome to your weekly spoiler-free preview of WWE Main Event. Here, you will get a rundown of all of the matches set to take place and the possible repercussions.
Viewers of Main Event have grown accustomed to two things: no major storylines being addressed in matches and a three-match format.
This week will be mostly more of the same, but seeing as this is the final Main Event before TLC, we can probably expect a few more video packages than normal.

Modern-Day Dream Matches 💭

Most Likely Backlash Heel/Face Turns 🎭
Let's take a look at the matches scheduled for the show.
Dolph Ziggler vs. Curtis Axel
If Curtis Axel and Dolph Ziggler are given enough time, they could easily produce the match of the week on Wednesday.
Axel and Ziggler have similar skill sets, but very different styles, which will end up making for a very entertaining bout when it's all said and done.
The X-factor will be Ryback if he is at ringside. His presence has an effect on the match all by itself, but there is also the very real possibility of him interfering on Axel's behalf.
If Ryback is there then the odds favor Axel, but if Axel is solo then Ziggler might have the upper hand. Ziggler has a match on the TLC pre-show while Axel is not booked at all, so take that for what it's worth when predicting a winner.
Natalya vs. Alicia Fox
It would be difficult for anyone not to automatically predict that Natalya would win this exchange. She has a title match on Sunday, so this will likely be a throwaway match for her.
Alicia Fox is someone who has been both a champion and a jobber, and trying to count how many times she has randomly bounced between being a heel and a babyface would be impossible.
Natalya is technically proficient, but she lacks the charisma to really stand above the rest of the division, and that is why AJ has surpassed her in a lot of ways.
This match will probably be very quick, with a really obvious winner.
Tons of Funk vs. R-Truth and Xavier Woods
This is the one match on the card with a semi-feud behind it. Clay is nearly done with a heel turn, and it's tough to say if he will turn on Tensai or if Tensai will turn with him.
Woods has had a very lackluster introduction to the main roster, and this feud is not going to help him. Clay is turning heel and probably on the verge of a push, so he is not going to turn heel and then job to Woods.
Truth and Woods will provide the quick moves for excitement, and Tons of Funk will provide the power moves. The match could end up being pretty decent, but it could be a total disaster just as easily.
Xavier Woods is the one who needs to stand out in this match, and a win in this match would help him seem like a viable WWE Superstar instead of some NXT guy who is getting a lucky break.
Truth and Woods are not really a tag team, but they seem to be teaming up a lot lately so they need an official tag team name. Leave your suggestions in the comments section.
That's it for this week. Which match are you looking forward to seeing the most?
