Few Items as SpartyMSU begins to Rev up the Blogging  again for 2009…

1) Winter SpartyMSU Sports Conference.. February 2009 at the Kellogg Center in E.L.
    • Danny had too much to drink (Say it aint so..) and in an attempt to secure a double bed for himself at let the 3 of us fend for ourselves.... at 2:30AM.. he called down to the front desk.. yelling.. “Call DPS.. there a man in my bed who wants to sleep with me..!”..  The besotted laughter in the back ground was the only reason the desk clerk hung up on him… Right out of planes, trains and automobiles…

o   Mike arranged a Suite for the Basketball game (very Cool), Discussions on the Final Four and the 2008 / 2009 Football season held over Ouzo in the Kellogg Center bar.
o   Closed the RoadHouse Pub.. Great place.  Great Times!

2) SpartyMSU Summer Conference will be held on June 6 – 7 in E.L at the Marriott, most of the typing and dicsussions will be at the Peanut Barrell…

• 2009 Football MSU predictions are the expected outcome and postings..

 

3) Why would schools eliminate, purposely omit school game and season records ? That’s not being transparent.. Thats more akin to Dick Cheney  than  Obama-ish… Lets all be transparent now...

 

• Notre Dame didn’t like 3-9 2007 season, God doesn't recognize a loosing season at ND.
• Minny eliminated the 55-0 loss to Iowa in the 2008 season.. nope don't want to remember it…

4) Soft Schedules..  Its known that to remain or raise the prominence of a team  / program you need to schedule teams of the same higher stature. Put team’s on the schedule that have been in the Top 3 of their conference since 2000 … These are the teams to add to a schedule to help a program…   I discussed this earlier in :  http://blog.spartymsu.com/2008/12/26/fill-spartan-stadium.aspx 

•  Michigan’s schedule is a cream puff… Guess this is one way to try to regain momentum.. Don’t think it’ll help any. Can you say 5 – 9 season… Delaware State on Oct. 17.. Come on.. Dick Rod, Man up pal..
•  Not pleased with the Spartans playing Montana State, but this was probably schedule via John L. Cowboy. Future schedule look better….
