Auburn Fans Celebrate BCS Championship Game Berth at Toomer's Corner
Auburn fans had plenty to celebrate Saturday during an unforgettable night on the Plains, rolling legendary Toomer's Corner in downtown Auburn—not once, but twice.
First, fans packed Toomer's Corner to celebrate the Tigers taking home the SEC Championship, and a 59-42 victory over Missouri up the road in Atlanta.
Just a few hours later, they were back at the legendary intersection of College and Magnolia once again—this time celebrating not an Auburn win, but a Michigan State victory.
Thanks to the Spartans and their upset win over No. 2 Ohio State in the Big Ten Championship Game, No. 3 Auburn will presumably leapfrog the Buckeyes and earn a berth in the BCS National Championship Game against No. 1 Florida State.
