Chargers Participate In 50th Anniversary of The AFL

I think the team has a decent opportunity to win another playoff berth if they continue their momentum from last season. The past five years have been very successful for the San Diego Chargers; they just need to get past the divisional playoff game. The key to the San Diego Chargers’ success is that their top 10 players must remain healthy, in particular Shawne Merriman. If Antonio Gates and LaDainian Tomlinson were both healthy they would be problematic for the other teams.

One of the things that is going to be unique to the 2009 season is the 50^th anniversary of the American Football League.  On Monday night, September 14, there will be a battle of the AFC West “as the Oakland Raiders host three-time defending division champ San Diego Chargers.”
