Alshon Jeffery's Instant Fantasy Reaction Heading into 2013 Fantasy Playoffs
Alshon Jeffery pulverized the Minnesota Vikings in Week 13, much to the delight of fantasy football owners fortunate enough to start the second-year receiver.
With the fantasy playoffs on the horizon, Jeffery appears to be hitting his stride at just the right time. The South Carolina product caught 12 passes for 249 yards and two touchdowns against Minnesota—giving him 36 points.
As Fox Sports illustrates, Jeffery broke his own franchise record with the impressive performance:

The output marked the sixth time Jeffery reached double-digit production despite fighting for receptions with the fantasy powerhouse known as Brandon Marshall, not to mention dealing with the presence of Matt Forte. It is also the third time Jeffery has exploded for more than 20 points.
Jeffery seems a boom-or-bust type player, which is good news heading into the postseason. He plays defenses that have struggled this year against his position the rest of the way. Dates with Dallas (22.4 points allowed on average) and Cleveland (17.3) occur the next two weeks.
But Jeffery could be saving his best showing for last against the worst fantasy defense in Philadelphia, a unit that allows an average of 28.9 points to the position.
Jeffery's production is far from a fluke, but it has taken savvy timing from owners to capitalize at his heights. Luckily for Jeffery owners, the schedule removes the guesswork just in time for the playoffs.
