Arsenal will look to extend their lead in the English Premier League in a road match against Cardiff City.

Cardiff enter the match 15th in the table, but it is important that they are not overlooked. They have fared well at home this year, earning eight points in six matches. This strong play includes a win over Manchester City and draws against Everton and Manchester United.

When a talented club comes into Cardiff City Stadium, the squad turns up the intensity and plays up to the level of their opponent.

Of course, they will need to play as well as possible in order to match Arsenal, who are four points clear of Liverpool and Chelsea in the league table. While they did lose their last road contest to Manchester United, they have been otherwise solid regardless of venue.

Still, it is always important never to lose focus in what should be a competitive EPL match. Here is a look at what to expect in the upcoming battle.

Few would have expected this at the start of the season, but Arsenal are starting to pull away from the pack in the league table. They now have a chance to move even further from the group in Week 13.

Although Liverpool have a relatively easy battle against Hull City, Chelsea faces Southampton, which will lead to a slight fall for at least one of the teams if Arsenal are successful.

The interesting thing about the rise to the top has been the shift in strength of the club. Arsenal were among the best offensive squads in the league to start the year thanks to the consistent scoring from Aaron Ramsey and others. Now, it is the defense that is stepping up.

In the past six EPL and Champions League matches, the Gunners have only allowed a single goal. If this steadiness continues, it is hard to imagine anyone passing this group for the top spot in the league.

Prediction: Arsenal 2, Cardiff City 0

Cardiff are likely to utilize a conservative approach to try to maintain a great deal of possession in this match. However, they do not have many players who can finish around the net.

Fraizer Campbell leads the squad with three goals, but even he can be wildly inconsistent from match to match. Against an Arsenal defense that has made few mistakes lately, it is hard to imagine the club getting too many good looks at the net.

Meanwhile, the other side of the pitch will feature as good of passing and finishing as you will see in England. Mesut Ozil is one of the best creative midfielders in Europe, and he provides plenty of opportunities for Ramsey and Olivier Giroud.

Arsenal will get at least a couple of goals in this one to earn a quality victory on the road.
