Transfer Rumour Rater: Arda Turan to Manchester United in the January Window

Reports have emerged claiming that Manchester United are keen to cut a deal for Atletico Madrid winger Arda Turan in the January transfer window, per the Express' David Wright.

Having only just signed a new contract with the La Liga giants, complete with a £33 million release clause, however, the Turkish international would by no means be a cheap investment for David Moyes' side.

The Red Devils' current crop of wingers has drawn criticism from some of late, with the likes of Ashley Young, Nani, Antonio Valencia and Wilfried Zaha failing to make the desired impact.

Before the player penned his new deal with Atleti, Turan's agent was quoted as saying, per Wright's report:

"A destination in the Premier League would be to the liking of the player and I can confirm there are clubs interested, like the two mentioned. He wants to work in England."
