Transfer Rumour Rater: Kevin Mendez to Liverpool in the January Window
On the recommendation of Luis Suarez, Brendan Rodgers has been urged to sign the Uruguayan's countryman Kevin Mendez this winter.
The Mirror's John Cross reports that Liverpool scouted the 17-year-old at last year's Under-17 World Cup along with a host of other European giants.

With that sort of interest floating around the Penarol teen, Rodgers will certainly have a fight on his hands if he is to land Mendez's signature.
Sebastian Coates is another Uruguayan to have joined the Merseyside outfitĀ in recent years, but Liverpool fans will be hoping that forward Mendez can have a more immediate impact should he move to the English top flight.
