Transfer Rumour Rater: Alvaro Morata to Tottenham in the January Window

In an effort to help the attacking stigma they've experienced so far this season, Tottenham may look to lure Real Madrid starlet Alvaro Morata to White Hart Lane this winter.

According to John Cross of the Mirror, the Premier League outfit are keen to sort out a temporary deal for the Spaniard they tried to prise away as part Gareth Bale's sale to Los Merengues.

Cross writes:

"Villas-Boas was hoping to sign the 21-year-old striker in the summer as part of Gareth Bale's £85million move from the White Hart Lane club to Real.

The Bernabeu giants' new boss Carlo Ancelotti blocked the move then, but has now has had a change of heart as he believes it will help the Spain Under-21 international's career."

Spurs have scored just nine goals this season, two more than relegation-threatened Crystal Palace, while Morata has made just one La Liga start for Real.
