Transfer Rumour Rater: Yohan Cabaye to Liverpool in the Summer Window

It was only this summer that Newcastle United got past their last bout of Yohan Cabaye-related transfer speculation, but the club are already having to contend with the thought of their midfielder's departure again.

Charles Perrin of the Express writes that Cabaye is yearning for Champions League football and will reassess his position come the end of the season, saying to French radio station RTL: 

"I miss the Champions League. I'll finish this season with Newcastle and concentrate on the coming months and then we'll see.

I love to play in front of the defence, to have the whole game in front of me. To recover the ball and then put my team-mates into good positions."

Liverpool are being teed up as one of two Premier League sides interested in signing the playmaker, and with the way the season's currently going, the Reds may be able to grant Cabaye's Champions League wishes.
