Giants' Justin Tuck Tweets Perfect Super Bowl Smack to Cowboys Fans

Gabe ZaldivarJun 8, 2018

Most athletes take a loss and find very little to talk trash about immediately after. New York Giants defensive end Justin Tuck isn't one of those athletes.

Tuck followed up a week of collective smack talk on his teammates' part with the perfect sendoff to Dallas Cowboys fans.

Sure, the Giants may have lost the game, 24-21, but Tuck showed there are still things to feel good about amid a tough season.

Yes, that would be the star's two Super Bowl rings with a holder missing in the middle. I think we can all be adults and admit that the empty spot will remain as such for at least one more February.

Still, that holder does serve its purpose as a faux middle finger to all those Cowboys fans chirping at him in his timeline.

As many know, Dallas fans can be some of the greatest fans in sport, but they get quite vociferous (annoying?) when things are going well.

Rather than take his lumps and move on, Tuck decided to bring the trash talk to where it matters: Super Bowl hardware.

As The Washington Post's Cindy Boren recalls, Tuck's teammates were rather chatty leading up to Sunday's clash with the Cowboys.

Dallas tight end Jason Witten sounded off on all the smack being run the week prior, "There’s no question they have done a lot over the past six or seven years."

A newly satisfied Witten continued, "And I have a lot of respect for them, but every day, it seemed there was a new guy coming out and saying something about how they were going to beat us."

But they didn't.

A great Sunday in the NFL featured a bevy of close calls and back-and-forth battles all over the league. One of the more captivating was the game at MetLife Stadium.

Despite a couple of late touchdowns and renewed hope, the Giants would see Dan Bailey kick the game winner as time expired, the smack talk dissolving into slumped shoulders and a 4-7 record that should all but seal the team's fate for 2013.

Tuck, who had four tackles and a sack, wasn't quite done with this particular matchup, because he had just one more image to tweet.

With a virtual outstretched arm, Tuck just told all of Cowboys Nation to talk to the rings, and it was perfect.
