Never let it be said that DeMarcus Cousins doesn’t know how to make a statement. Just witness how he pulled teammate Isaiah Thomas away from a friendly handshake with Chris Paul after Saturday's 103-102 loss to the Clippers. CP3 did not seem particularly amused.

The setting was Staples Center—the Sacramento Kings were in town for a late Saturday matinee with the Clips. Sacramento played the Clippers tough and had a shot to win it at the end.

CP3 fouled Thomas with 24 seconds left and L.A. up two points. Thomas then proceeded to tie it up from the charity stripe. Paul himself was then fouled with 2.5 seconds on the clock, making one. At the buzzer, DeAndre Jordan blocked Cousins' jumper.

After, Thomas being a friendly sort of fellow, went to shake hands with CP3. Cousins was having no part of it, and grabbed Thomas’ shirt and towed him away.

That’s not so nice. It is however, a sign that these battles matter for Cousins.

Per Ben Golliver of S.I.'s Point Foward, Paul had a little advice to offer after the game:

“He’s young, man,” Paul said of Cousins during a televised post-game interview. “He don’t know no better. He needs some guidance. It is what it is.”

Just another chapter as Boogie's world turns.
