Detroit Lions

Record: 6-4

Week 11: 27-37 loss at Pittsburgh Steelers

Week 12: vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers

The Detroit Lions have overcome the previously earned reputation of a team that cannot consistently win games. During Week 12, however, the Lions fell 37-27 to the Pittsburgh Steelers in a game that was nothing short of explosive.

During Week 12, the Lions will right the ship against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

The Lions enter this game with ranks of No. 3 in passing yards and No. 5 in opponent rushing yards per game. Detroit's rushing yards per game average is relatively low, but the combination of Joique Bell and Reggie Bush has added a new dimension to the offense.

Bush is currently averaging 113.3 total yards of offense from scrimmage per game, and that includes a Week 2 performance in which he was injured early in the second quarter.

The Lions could run into trouble against a Bucs team that has won two games in a row. Mike Glennon is playing high-quality football, and Bobby Rainey is running like a star, but the mighty Darrelle Revis will only be able to do so much against Calvin Johnson.

Detroit is 3-1 at home this year, and its success will continue against Tampa Bay.

New York Jets

Record: 5-5

Week 12: 14-37 loss at Buffalo Bills

Week 13: at Baltimore Ravens

The New York Jets have traded wins and losses en route to their current record of 5-5. During Week 12, New York was dreadful during a devastating 37-14 loss to the Buffalo Bills.

In Week 13, New York will go on the road and exploit the Baltimore Ravens.

New York posted a dud, but it still possesses the NFL's No. 1 rushing defense and No. 8 rushing offense. The Jets are 1-4 on the road this season, and a trend of four straight lopsided losses away from home suggests that this will be another defeat.

There's simply too much emotion in this game for the Jets to lose.

Ed Reed and Rex Ryan, two individuals who played major roles in Baltimore's past success, will both be searching for big wins. The Jets are currently the No. 6 seed in the AFC playoffs, and with defensive playmakers and a dominant rushing attack, they will move to 6-5.

Ray Rice's re-emergence is encouraging for Baltimore, but going up against the best run defense in football, the Ravens will return to their one-dimensional ways.

San Francisco 49ers

Record: 6-4

Week 12: 20-23 loss at New Orleans Saints

Week 13: at Washington Redskins

The San Francisco 49ers are a Super Bowl contender that is coming off two heartbreaking losses to the New Orleans Saints and Carolina Panthers, respectively. After falling 10-9 to Carolina during Week 10, the Niners fell 23-20 to the New Orleans Saints in Week 12.

Don't count on Jim Harbaugh to lose three in a row.

The 49ers will travel to play the Washington Redskins in this week's edition of Monday Night Football. San Francisco may be struggling, but Washington has been exposed as a team that overachieved in 2012.

Don't blame coach Mike Shanahan or Robert Griffin III. Look to the general manager who failed to bring in the necessary support.

Colin Kaepernick has been quite unimpressive this year, topping 200 passing yards just twice. Fortunately, Frank Gore and Kendall Hunter fuel one of the most explosive running games in the league, and Washington's defense isn't enough to slow them down.

The Niners will recover with a close win in Week 13.
