Kobe Bryant or LeBron James: The Great Debate
Well, the big question these days is, "Who is the best basketball player in the world?"
There are many different opinions, but the two must popular are LeBron James and Kobe Bryant.
In my opinion, Kobe Bryant is the best player in the world, and probably when he retires, he'll be in the top three (along with LeBron.)
But for now, Kobe is a better all-around player. If you look at the matchups Kobe has had to face in this playoffs, you will agree. Kobe had to play against probably the best defender in the league in Ron Artest, and Kobe dominated him in all aspects.
LeBron hasn't really had to face great defenders yet this postseason. I'm not taking anything from him, I'm just saying that Kobe has had to work harder than LeBron.
Also, many people want to bring up the stats, that LeBron has better stats than Kobe in every major category. But Kobe doesn't have to score 40 a night like LeBron.
If you look at it, when Kobe was in LeBron's shoes and had no players around him, Kobe's stats were better than LeBron's are now.
If there is one player I would want shooting the last shot of the game, it's Kobe. Although LeBron did make one of the best shots ever, that's only his first buzzer-beater in the playoffs. Kobe has done it many times, and has much more playoff experience.
There's no doubt LeBron will probably pass Kobe one day, but that day has just not arrived yet.
