"It's a big fight and these two world titles mean everything to me.
I'm taking it very, very seriously and George Groves is in a world of trouble, and he's going to get an absolute shock on Saturday night. Not only am I going to beat him, I'm going to beat him in spectacular fashion and potentially end his career.
We'll see how George Groves comes back from this loss, but it's going to be a devastating defeat for him.
"
Froch, who is the favourite for the fight, has been left frustrated by his opponentโs constant taunts and jibes.ย
Groves suggested that Froch isn't as big a star as he likes to believeโper ESPN. He also added that Froch isn't a pay-per-view fighter in his own right and that his trash talk has been "terrible" throughout his whole career.ย
According to Froch, his compatriot has turned into โa bit of a bad ladโ and has developed a โwhopping egoโโper BBC Sport.ย
Froch, the current IBF and WBA champion, will be seeking to end Grovesโ undefeated record when the domestic duel gets underway on Nov. 23.
Groves, who is considered a great hope for British boxing, has won all 19 of his professional bouts to date. An impressive 15 of those have been by knockout, according to Martin Domin in the Daily Mail.ย
But Saturday represents a whole new challenge for the 25-year-old, who will be stepping up to world title level for the first time. His opponent is a veteran of 13 such fights.ย
Froch has only been defeated in two of his 33 career bouts and enters the weekend contest as the favourite.
He recently avenged one of those losses against Mikkel Kessler, and if he can find a way past Groves, then he will likely get another shot at Andre Ward, who was responsible for his second defeat.ย
