WWE Report: Ryback to Feud with Lesnar?
What is Ryback's future now that he's seemingly split from Paul Heyman? And will the much talked-about Bill Goldberg vs. Ryback bout at WrestleMania XXX ever come to fruition?
Per Bryan Alvarez in this week's F4W Newsletter (subscription required), Ryback may be headed for a face turn (which may explain the perplexing way he's been booked in the last few weeks) and a program with Brock Lesnar. One plan is for all this to lead to a match next year at WrestleMania XXX against Bill Goldberg, but the feeling within WWE is that the former WCW champion would never agree to lose:

"The working idea at press time was to do something with Ryback and Brock (Paul sends his beast to take care of the guy he blames for Punk putting him in a wheelchair), likely for Royal Rumble. They would like to do Ryback vs. Goldberg at WrestleMania, but the feeling from those I've talked to in WWE is that it's probably not going to happen because WWE would almost certainly ask Goldberg to do the job and nobody expects Bill to be open to that idea.

WWE management is spot on in regard to the Goldberg bout: It is difficult seeing the prideful Goldberg agree to lose to Ryback. But not necessarily due to selfishness or an unwillingness to put over newer stars.
The sad fact is, thanks to some truly disastrous booking over the last two years, Ryback's star power has all but faded.
Goldberg may very well feel he's not even worth coming out of retirement to face, let alone lose to.
How bad are things? The former Nexus star even lost to R-Truth on Monday's Raw.
Honestly, in terms of status, the 32-year-old is far closer to old WWF jobber Gillberg these days than Goldberg.
As for a Ryback-Lesnar match? While it may be a good program filler, it's hard to see it setting the world on fire.
Following the low SummerSlam buyrate, it looks like the former UFC champion's once-formidable drawing power is on the wane. It's doubtful that Ryback will be able to turn it around.
