Shaun Hill Looks for Respect; Mock Interview Questions

Shaun Hill seems to be the Rodney Dangerfield of the National Football League.

He get no respect.

Hill has finished the season for the past two for the San Francisco 49ers; yet, after compiling a 7-3 record as a starter, he still comes into this season in a battle for playing time.

Here are some questions I would ask Shaun Hill.

Coach Singletary has said that this is an open competition. Do you think you should be the starter?

What do you think your progression over the last two years has done for you as a quarterback going into this season?

Last year, it was supposed to be you and Alex battling for the starting spot. Were reports that you had trouble grasping Mike Martz’s offense fair?

When J.T, O’Sullivan was named the starter, did you think you would be seeing action as a starter during the season?

When Coach Singletary inserted you as the starter, did he say anything to you or give you any advice?

Tell me, in your opinion, how the feeling around the team changed when Coach Singletary took over.

You have a new offensive coordinator. Have you have a chance to get any feelings on how he will impact the offense?

Tell me what special talents each of your receivers bring to the field?

Josh Morgan is being talked about as a possible break through player this year. What has he done on the field that makes you think he can live up to the billing?

From what you’ve seen of Michael Crabtree, how effective do you think he can be as a rookie?

You’ve been criticized for not having a strong arm. On the other, side you’ve been praised for being a good manager of the team. What do you think are your strengths and weaknesses?

What is your relationship like with Alex Smith?

When you heard that the team brought in Kurt Warner, did you feel disrespected by the organization?

Did anyone say anything to you after Warner said he wasn’t interested in coming to San Francisco?

Is this a playoff team as it heads to preseason?
