Michael Beasley Still Has It

Matthew SchmidtNov 12, 2013

Coming into tonight's game against the Milwaukee Bucks, Miami Heat forward Michael Beasley hadn't exactly gotten off the bench all that much, playing in only two contests prior to this one.

Well, with Ray Allen missing the game with an illness, Beasley got his chance to shine early.

Shortly after entering the game late in the first quarter, Beasley beat the Bucks defense down the floor in transition. The result was this alley-oop from Dwyane Wade.

Everything about the play was perfect. The outlet pass from Norris Cole, the lob by Wade and the hustle and finish by Beasley, which was also his first dunk of the young season (per Basketball Reference).

The Kansas State product would add an inside bucket and a three-pointer in the second period.

It would be absolutely huge for the Heat if Beasley can regularly provide this type of energy off the bench.

One thing is for sure: Beasley has always had the talent and the athleticism, as seen in the play above. The question has always been whether or not he can finally put it all together.

Maybe he can finally do that this season.
