D'Andre Bell Cleared to Play for Georgia Tech
Jeffrey FannMay 26, 2009

12-19 this past season and 15-17 the year before.
There have been no NIT appearances and no NCAA appearances.

Coach Paul Hewitt and Georgia Tech were looking for something to be optimistic about next season. Recently Hewitt put together a top 10 recruiting class highlighted by consensus top five player Derrick Favors.
Today there was some more good news...
D'Andre Bell has been cleared to play his senior season. Bell suffered a congenital condition called spinal stenosis that forced him to sit out the 2008-2009 season.
What this means for the Yellow Jackets is that they get back a player who instantly becomes their best perimeter defender, and someone who can average 6-10 points a game.
Georgia Tech fans will remember another player, Clarence Moore, who missed a year of basketball, returned for his senior year, and was a blue-collar glue guy on the Yellow Jackets 2003-2004 Final Four team.
That might be a stretch for this team, but Bell's return can only be good for this young squad.
