J.J. Redick and The NBA Playoffs
JJ Redick, Drafted in 2006 to the Orlando Magic. A former Duke Blue devil, Redick was a powerhouse player, his range unlimited, and a few games with over 40 points. JJ was rarely played by the Magic, but when he was, it was usually to give Courtney Lee a breather. But when star, Dwight Howard fractured Courtney Lee's Sinus at the beginning of May, JJ was now a starter. And it happened right when the had playoffs started.
The Magic came to play and blew out the 76ers in game six of the playoff series. Lewis scored 29 points, but the real key was the play of JJ Redick, because he kept getting the ball to Lewis in the low post. Also he shot the lights out beyond the arc.
JJ had the game of his life in the first game he ever started in the NBA Playoffs. Here are his stats:
Final stats for Redick:
15 pts
31.13 mins
3 rebs
4 assists
5 fouls
1 steal
Truly his best Playoff performance in any postseason he has played in the NBA.
So the Orlando Magic have advanced to the Semi-Finals where they are going to play the Boston Celtics.
JJ played even better against the Celtics, here are is stats:
| Key Stats | |||||
| GP | MIN/G | PPG | REB/G | AST/G | FG % |
| 64 | 17.4 | 6.0 | 1.7 | 1.1 | 39.1 |
The Magic then pulled out a win in game seven. So JJ and Orlando were off to the finals to play the undefeated Cleveland Cavaliers.
Courtney Lee, still not 100 percent healthy, started playing a few minutes a game and with each game he played, he started having more minutes. Now, in game three of the Magic/Cavs series, JJ Redick did not play at all.
