Matt McGloin's Instant Fantasy Value After Terrelle Pryor's Injury
Oakland Raiders starting quarterback Terrelle Pryor left his team's Week 9 game against the Philadelphia Eagles with a knee injury, giving backup Matt McGloin his NFL debut.
The team reported Pryor's injury on Twitter and announced McGloin entering the action:
It will take many unlikely events to occur and an unforeseen breakout from the rookie for him to have any impact on fantasy football this year.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
McGloin had a bit of success late in Philly's blowout win, going 7-of-14 with 87 yards.
The 23-year-old out of Penn State went undrafted back in April, but played his way into a roster spot after a promising training camp and preseason in Oakland. He faced all of this adversity after emerging as a walk-on in college for the Nittany Lions.
It's nothing short of commendable that McGloin has emerged into playing time, but pump the brakes a bit before you consider him a fantasy option.
Despite the Raiders' continued struggles, Pryor has emerged as a solid starter in Oakland, having notched more than 1,100 passing yards and nearly 400 on the ground entering Week 9.
Should Pryor's injury become serious enough that McGloin becomes the starter, it's still hard to see him making any sort of fantasy impact. Pryor's dual-threat ability and cannon arm made him a potential fantasy QB No. 2, but McGloin won't boast that same sort of advantage.
