Tim Tebow Must Remain Ready for Opportunity to Shine in NFL
Despite the overall lack of interest in former NFL backup and starting quarterback Tim Tebow, the enigmatic player must remain in peak physical condition in the event that a franchise finds the need for a quarterback and comes knocking.
Not only must Tebow stay in shape, but he also needs to focus on improving his mechanics.
The adage claims it’s hard to teach old dogs new tricks, but if Tebow ever wants to continue fulfilling his goal of being a starting QB at the highest level, he must be much better than he was the last time he stepped on the field for the New England Patriots this preseason.

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
While it was originally reported via Michael Silver of NFL Network that the St. Louis Rams would consider adding Tebow after starter Sam Bradford went down with a season-ending knee injury, ESPN’s Chris Mortenson reported that the team did not even work him out:
Add in the news that Chicago was never interested in Tebow when starter Jay Cutler went down with a groin injury, per Zach Zaidman of CBS, and it’s clear that the polarizing star isn’t drawing any serious interest right now:
That doesn’t mean the interest won’t come eventually, though.
There is no questioning the success the teams led by Tebow had during his career—helped lead the Denver Broncos to the postseason in 2011—but with just 2,422 passing yards, 989 rushing yards and 23 total touchdowns over the course of his career, he hasn’t proven to be a viable potential starting quarterback.
While Tebow has excelled as a great wildcat QB, his inability to find any consistency throwing the ball has doomed his career thus far. The talented player must take his time away from the league to work on his mechanics with hopes of improving his troubling 47.9 completion percentage.
Signing Tebow comes with a media circus that many players and franchises rather not deal with, but his positive attitude would great to have around the locker room. As long as a potentially interested team has an unquestioned starter (just as New England had with Tom Brady this preseason), there shouldn’t be an issue.
No matter what the future holds for Tebow’s NFL career, the player must keep himself ready just in case another injury opens up a spot for a veteran quarterback.
