NFL Picks Week 9: Analyzing Expert Predictions from Around the Web

It is already Week 9 of the 2013 NFL regular season, but before any more of the season gets away from us, let's take a look at the picks of some of the NFL's top media experts.

With the help of analysts like Frank Schwab of Yahoo! Sports, Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports and Mike Ditka of ESPN, here is what fans can expect to happen when the Week 9 schedule kicks off.

Where Experts Agree

Injuries have taken their toll on teams across the league, and the latest slate of bye weeks has resulted in several divisional battles and lopsided matchups that our experts have picked.

With nine of the 13 matchups being a clean sweep from all three experts (all nine picks are the betting favorite, according to Covers.com), there are quite a few locks this week.

The three NFL analysts have agreed on several matchups, but none more so than in the NFC. Each selected the Cowboys, Saints, Panthers, Seahawks and Packers to win this week, and all look to be safe bets against lackluster competition.

The agreement also carried over to the AFC as well. With the Chargers, Raiders, Patriots and Colts all unanimously selected to be victorious this week by our panel of experts, there is no doubt that these nine games will be Week 9’s biggest locks.

These NFL insiders didn’t agree on everything, though.

Where Experts Disagree

The experts disagreed on only four games. While fans want to listen to these analysts while making their picks, football prognosticators have to make their own educated decisions.

Find the expert you trust most, and let them be your guide.

La Canfora and Schwab agree that they believe the Bills will beat the Chiefs, but this is the time to ride with Ditka and select Kansas City to win. Schwab and Ditka agreed that both the Browns and Rams would win, while La Canfora has picked the Ravens and Titans, respectively.

The experts also disagree on Thursday Night Football. Ditka and La Canfora have predicted that the Bengals would walk away victorious, but Schwab has taken the enigmatic Dolphins.

While it’s acceptable for fans to use the expert picks as a guide, the ultimate decision is in the hands of those making the wagers. Take the advice, and use it to help you make your own educated choices.
