“American Dream” Dusty Rhodes vs. Ric Flair

One of the greatest feuds in wrestling history happened between “American Dream” Dusty Rhodes and Ric Flair in the NWA during the 1980s. In a battle that pitted the arrogant heel Flair against the everyman Rhodes, this was the perfect storyline to bring casual fans into the sport.

There was always a diehard following for wrestling, but Rhodes and Flair took the angle of the common man standing up against his spoiled and overly arrogant foe and turned it into the quintessential mold for every storyline that has followed.

Even the Daniel Bryan vs. Randy Orton angle has used elements of Flair vs. Rhodes.

Add in the pure in-ring magic each man worked (don’t let Rhodes' physique fool you; he matched Flair in the ring and made the bouts unforgettable), and the younger fans that didn’t have the chance to live this experience will be able to get revenge on Flair for putting Rhodes’ family on hard times.

This is an American Dream come true.

Andre The Giant vs. Hulk Hogan

One of the most iconic moments in wrestling history happened at WrestleMania III when Hulk Hogan bodyslammed Andre the Giant to retain the WWE Championship, but the feud between the two men was so much more than that slam.

Hogan was the biggest star in the world and a fan favorite. It was clear that Hogan was almost unstoppable in the '80s, but the battles with Andre always gave the fans the thought that the face could take the loss.

Nothing made Hogan look stronger than beating the giant.

Add in the storyline involving Andre selling the title to Ted DiBiase after Hogan was screwed over by one of the Hebner brothers, and the long-lasting battle between Hogan and Andre will be something all fans can relive now.

Don’t miss the chance to hit the leg drop, brother.

“Macho Man” Randy Savage vs. Jake “The Snake” Roberts

One of the most underrated feuds of all time was the battle between “Macho Man” Randy Savage and Jake “The Snake” Roberts. As the quintessential heel against the ultimate face, this battle is what wrestling is all about.

Not only was this a great in-ring battle that featured two of the best storytellers in the business, but it also featured iconic moments (Savage getting bitten by Damien) and unforgettable promos (Roberts commenting about his slap to Miss Elizabeth).

With both Savage and Roberts in WWE 2K14, the fans that were unable to witness this feud live and haven’t appreciated the majesty of a well-told story will be able to recreate it with their own added twists.
