2013 Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Advice: Get 'Em or Don't Sweat 'Em Week 9

May 31, 2018

There were some unusual heroes this week. There always are. Letโ€™s take a look at them and see if they are worthy of your fantasy rosters.

Jason Campbell, QB, Cleveland Browns

Jason Campbell threw for 293 yards and a pair of touchdowns against the Kansas City Chiefs. He added 17 yards on the ground. Heโ€™s worth considering, especially in two-quarterback leagues, because Josh Gordon and Jordan Cameron are such good weapons. In other leagues, you probably have a better option.

Ruling:ย  Donโ€™t Sweat โ€˜em.

Andy Dalton, QB, Cincinnati Bengals

Andy Dalton threw for 325 yards and five touchdowns against the New York Jets. Heโ€™s a great QB2.

Ruling: Get โ€˜em.

Terrelle Pryor, QB, Oakland Raiders

Terrelle Pryor threw for 87 yards against the Pittsburgh Steelers. He also ran for 106 yards and the longest touchdown ever by a quarterback. Pryor is a good QB2.

Ruling: ย Get โ€˜em.

Montee Ball, RB, Denver Broncos

Montee Ball ran for 37 yards and a touchdown. Heโ€™s only worth an add as a handcuff to Knowshon Moreno.

Ruling: ย Donโ€™t Sweat โ€˜em.

Mike Brown, WR, Jacksonville Jaguars

Mike Brownย caught three of six targets for 43 yards and a touchdownย against the San Francisco 49ers. Last week he had 120 yards. Heโ€™s turning into a desperation play but isnโ€™tย a reliable option.

Ruling:ย  Donโ€™t Sweat โ€˜em.

Drew Davis, WR, Atlanta Falcons

Drew Davis caught five of seven targets for 77 yards and a touchdown. Heโ€™s worth keeping an eye on as the Atlanta Falcons adjust to their injuries. Iโ€™d need to see another solid game before adding him.

Ruling: Donโ€™t Sweat โ€˜em.

Aaron Dobson, WR, New England Patriots

Aaron Dobson caught four of five targets for 60 yards and a touchdown against the Miami Dolphins.ย The Patriotsย arenโ€™t the high-powered offenseย thatย they have been in recent years. Heโ€™s just notย a player you can trust onย a weeklyย basis.

Ruling:ย  Donโ€™t Sweat โ€˜em.

Marvin Jones, WR, Cincinnati Bengals

Marvin Jones caught all eight of his targets for 122 yards and four touchdowns against the Jets. Thatโ€™s six touchdowns in the past three games.

Ruling: ย Get โ€˜em.

Dexter McCluster, WR, Kansas City Chiefs

Dexter McCluster caught seven of 10 targets for 67 yards and a score. He also ran for five yards. He had 70 yards last week, but Iโ€™d look elsewhere.

Ruling:ย  Donโ€™t Sweat โ€˜em.

Lance Moore, WR, New Orleans Saints

Lance Moore caught three of four passes for 34 yards and a touchdown. Moore is a guy to keep an eye on in case heโ€™s ready to take on a bigger role, but youโ€™ll want to see more from him before adding him to your roster.

Ruling: Donโ€™t Sweat โ€˜em.

Emmanuel Sanders, WR, Pittsburgh Steelers

Emmanuel Sanders caught seven of 11 targets for 88 yards and a score against the Oakland Raiders. Heโ€™s topped 55 yards in four of six games this year. Sanders is a good bench option.

Ruling: Get โ€˜em.

Kenny Stills, WR, New Orleans Saints

Kenny Stills caught three of four targets for 129 yards and a pair of touchdownsย against the Bills. He has big-play ability, but heย is not inconsistent. Heโ€™s a big risk, big reward type of option.

Ruling: Donโ€™t Sweat โ€˜em.

Timothy Wright, TE, Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Timothy Wright caught five of eight targets for 48 yards and a touchdown against the Carolina Panthers. Heโ€™s been solid in two of the past three games. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are bad and will be forced to throw a lot. Wright should get plenty of targets. Heโ€™s not a bad TE2.

Ruling:ย  Get โ€˜em.
