Marvin Jones' Updated Fantasy Value After Week 8

At times in fantasy football, it takes patience to find the players who will define your season. Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Marvin Jones is one of the players that embodies that truth, as he's gone from a role player to a standout in Marvin Lewis' offense in just eight weeks.

After a monster Week 8, it's time you sign the second-year receiver to your roster.

Jones torched the New York Jets for 122 yards and four touchdowns on eight receptions. It was yet another display of Andy Dalton trusting the second-year wideout, which should intrigue fantasy owners across the world.

Slowly but surely, Jones is becoming one of Dalton's go-to red-zone receivers.  

This is a continuation of trend, and that's what you really need to know.

Jones now has at least one receiving touchdown in each of his past three games. This marks the second consecutive outing in which the former California Golden Bears star tallied at least four receptions and the fourth time in six weeks that he found the back of the end zone.

There's an undeniable risk when it comes to unproven commodities, specifically at wide receiver, but Jones is on the rise.  

Jones now has 24 receptions for 369 yards and seven touchdowns. Those numbers are heavily influenced by his monster Week 8, but as Andy Dalton's accuracy has improved, Jones' touches have increased.

If you don't already, get this young man on your fantasy football roster. Starting him is risky at this point, but Jones is looking like the 2013 NFL regular season's gem.
