Josh Freeman's Fantasy Trade Value, Updated Outlook After Week 7

On Monday, Oct. 21, the Minnesota Vikings played their first game with embattled quarterback Josh Freeman under center. Just 12 days after he was signed via free agency, Freeman put on one of the worst Monday Night Football performances you'll ever witness.

The question is, what does Freeman's future hold and what does that mean for your fantasy football team?

Freeman was 20-of-53 for 190 yards, no touchdowns and one interception. His completion percentage of 37.7 percent was just as much on his inability to make accurate throws as it was the New York Giants' heavy pass rush.

In the end, it was historically bad.

It'd be easier to count how many passes that Freeman threw with accuracy than it would be to tally his amount of sailing throws.

In terms of what this means for his fantasy football value, it's quite clear: You shouldn't touch him with a 10-foot pole. Freeman has a cannon for an arm and the mobility to break open any play, but Minnesota's new field general was extraordinarily poor.

That's not a statistical anomaly.

In his first three starts in 2013, Freeman completed 45.7 percent of his passes for two touchdowns and three interceptions with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He also ran the ball just five times for 20 yards.
