2013 Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Advice: Get 'Em or Don't Sweat 'Em Week 8

Ryan LesterJun 2, 2018

There were some unusual heroes this week. There always are. Let's take a look and see if they are worthy of your fantasy rosters.

Mike Glennon, QB, Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Mike Glennon threw for 256 yards and a pair of touchdowns against the Atlanta Falcons. He also ran once for 13 yards. With his rapport with Vincent Jackson, he is becoming a borderline fantasy option. Grab him only if you are hurting at quarterback.

Ruling: Don't sweat 'em.

Jake Locker, QB, Tennessee Titans

Jake Locker returned with 326 yards and a pair of touchdowns against the San Francisco 49ers. He also ran for 29 yards. Locker is a solid QB2.

Ruling: Get 'em.

Roy Helu, RB, Washington Redskins

Roy Helu ran for 41 yards and three touchdowns. Alfred Morris is the lead back, but Helu is worth an add.

Ruling: Get 'em.

Chris Ivory, RB, New York Jets

Chris Ivory ran for 104 yards on 34 carries. He's a must-add, as Bilal Powell got just three carries.

Ruling: Get 'em.

Jarrett Boykin, WR, Green Bay Packers

Jarrett Boykin filled in for Randall Cobb and James Jones with eight catches on 10 targets for 103 yards and a score. He should be one of the top waiver options this week.

Ruling: Get 'em.

Riley Cooper, WR, Philadelphia Eagles

Riley Cooper caught six of seven targets for 88 yards against the Dallas Cowboys. That's 208 yards in the last two games. He's worth an add.

Ruling: Get 'em.

Brandon Gibson, WR, Miami Dolphins

Brandon Gibson caught five of eight targets for 40 yards and a pair of touchdowns against the Buffalo Bills. He's had three solid games in a row and is worth adding as depth.

Ruling: Get 'em.

Eddie Royal, WR, San Diego Chargers

Eddie Royal was a popular early add, but he was quiet for a few weeks before making some noise against the Jacksonville Jaguars, catching all four of his targets for 69 yards and a touchdown. He's not a consistent fantasy option.

Ruling: Don't sweat 'em.

Brian Quick, WR, St. Louis Rams

Brian Quick caught two of six targets for 97 yards. He entered the game with just 99 yards. Look elsewhere.

Ruling: Don't sweat 'em.

Aldrick Robinson, WR, Washington Redskins

Aldrick Robinson caught both of his targets for 75 yards and a score. He's not a viable fantasy option.

Ruling: Don't sweat 'em.

Jermaine Gresham, TE, Cincinnati Bengals

Jermaine Gresham caught four of five targets for 64 yards against the Detroit Lions. He's not consistent enough to trust.

Ruling: Don't sweat 'em.

Zach Miller, TE, Seattle Seahawks

Zach Miller caught five of seven targets for 40 yards and a touchdown against the Arizona Cardinals. While he does have three touchdowns on the year, he also has just 116 yards. He's not a reliable fantasy option.

Ruling: Don't sweat 'em.
