Malkin's Magic? Mom's Soup!

I want to take you back in history when the Toronto Maple Leafs used Red Kellyโ€™s Pyramid Power in the 1980โ€™s and the Philadelphia Flyers used Kate Smithโ€™s voice for motivation.
Pittsburgh has a new factor: Malkin Magic! Wow! Talk about excitement. It doesnโ€™t get any better and the first period was wild, with Sidney Crosby opening the scoring at 1:51ย and then Evgeni Malkin stepping back back up (to his old talent and tricks).
By the end of the night, heย had registered hisย first hat-trick in the post-season, while his parents beamed and hugged in the stands.
Malkin claims his success is all due to his motherโ€™s soup. He loves soup. Evgeniย now has 11 points in nine games, and leads Crosby by one point in the series.
The lead in Thursday's game teeter-tottered back and forth until Malkinโ€™s third goal put the Penguins ahead by two. The Penguins took over at this point, and an empty net goal put the game away 7-4.
Cam Wardโ€™s performance was weak and it has been suggested that it was due to mental fatigue. A bru-ha-ha broke out at 18:41 of the third, and it almost appeared there wouldnโ€™t be enough players on the bench to finish the game.
Six penalties were meted out, (three to each team). Kris Letang received a game misconduct and Ryan Bayda received a five minute match penalty.
There is no question there is more of this rougness to come on Saturday night in Carolina, and I will be in front of the set to watch the fireworks and the Crosby/Malkin show.
