To Be a Broncos Fan 2009 Edition

This time last year we could not wait to root for our franchise quarterback and crazy new receiver core we expected would bring us back into the glory days of suck company as Elway and Davis. Sharp, and Mcafferey. The days when the Broncos were and NFL Elite team. Those days have gone. So have Shanny, Cutler, and any sign of the old Broncos. However does that mean we have to settle for these premature NFL analyst who say Denver will no longer be contenders cause of the off season?

No.

You see there is something that Denver is doing VERY right and will be a huge surprise to the fans. You see McD didn't come in and change the Defense. He came in and improved the options during any given offensive series. We can look like the Patriots. Run like the old Broncos. While creating a new identity that actually shows the better of both. You see the best way to improve the Defense is simply with Offense. If the Offense got the ball  Defense wont have too.

All those Deep balls from Bly's side are gone. Now Goodman who is much better in the 2ndary will be able to assist Champ " Denver's famous shut down corner"  as well as the 3-4 will force less deep balls down field and more strategic throwing schemes to beat us. Sure that means we will have to get better at the run, especially against teams like San Diego. However remember Denver held some of the best backs in the league to small games last year like Michael Turner. So we know Denver can do it. Just if they will each Sunday is the question.

Kyle Orton has one job, dont lose the game. That's it. He will have Knowshon MORENO in the back field. Brandon Marshall, Eddie Royal, Brandon Stokley, Danielle Graham, Tony Sheffler and the other free agents we got on every play to change up the offense. every play. Think about that. every play the options Denver has on the offensive side of the ball is mind blowing and oozing with goodness. This team has the talent needed to make a huge impact right away period.

Josh McD has installed the great belief amongst his team that the world believes you all already failed. He has installed the us against the world mentality and the belief that all they have is each other. Don't let the man next to you down and he wont let you down. Only the best will play week in and out and  the Broncos will attempt perfection week in and out as well. He got Rid of CUTLER who the team clearly felt was a selfish player.

This is my one and only warning or problem with CUTLER. You can see when he gives up. actually see it on his face. it's interception city after that. No matter what. Kyle Orton gives Denver a much better chance of winning when something goes horribly wrong or the other team just showed up and we didn't. The Bears will have to find a way to get CUTLER over his fits. They are bad enough to lose a game. Even more so to keep the post season in your dreams.  we really did get a great deal in this case. We may not see it this season. I'm sure we will however.

You see the 2009 season has a lot of positives to it. To be a Broncos fan in 2009 means your a Broncos fan. Cause if anything they are surely not the Broncos we have grown o love. However the 2009 Broncos will be a team that proves people out there are wrong about Denver sports. We can contend and be the best. I don't see any other way this will end up. Maybe 2009 wont show that. Maybe it will. But in 3 years the Broncos will be an elite team again. and it all starts with 2009.
