Tribute to Gray Ghost's Family: A B/R Scribe's Response
A Little Child’s Love, Touch, Sound
This morning I awakened with a little child on my mind.
I felt the heart of a mother breaking, once she did not hear his sound.
The silence is too much for her, her tears did almost drown
The sorrow and the hurt and pain, to not hear the little child’s sound.
And then a soothing voice did speak as she read the many words
Of loved ones, friends and Bleacher folks who took the time to be heard:
We feel your hurt, we carry your burden; we also share your pain
We pray that God will lift you up and cheer you once again.
Josiah’s life has touched our hearts and stirred in us a word,
That all the love, his touch, his sound will continue to be heard
Through writings, songs and poetry, his life inspires us, too.
We know you love and miss him,
Remember, we will, too.
For life will touch each one of us in ways that you understand
But most of all we know that Josiah is surely in God’s hand.
His plan invites each one of us to love our fellow man,
And as we love and share our gifts, we share in His great plan.
We take the time to let you know
Our hearts are also pained.
We pray for strength to carry on,
For peace and joy, again.
The memory of the child’s sweet sound
Rings in our hearts, again.
