    England endured a nervous second half against Poland at Wembley before captain Steven Gerrard pounced to seal their qualification for the 2014 World Cup.

    Wayne Rooney had put England ahead late in the first half, heading home Leighton Baines' cross, but England always looked vulnerable to Poland's threat.

    Who better then than Gerrard to complete the job for the Three Lions?
